To have a way of those involved, or wanting to become involved, in evidence synthesis to link up and learn more, develop their skills and share their experiences in all subject areas.
Implementation:
Support from CILIP to create a special interest group and perhaps an accredited route with training and mentorship for those wanting to develop their skills in evidence synthesis. A good example is the Evidence Synthesis Institute for Librarians in the United States
CILIP's role:
It would be great if CILIP supported the creation of a special interest group. It would also be helpful if CLIP provided funding, or help to gain funding, for CPD qualifications for those working in, or wanting to develop, their skills in systematic reviews and other types of evidence synthesis.
