Advocacy of human rights, social justice, and equality

Human rights, social justice and equality is fundamental to democratic society which is a foundation to the sustainability of library, information, and knowledge profession. As CILIP is growing internationally, certain practices and standards in our profession are still western-oriented and embedding social bias.

CILIP should launch a global taskforce in cooperation with other international organizations to address and mitigate implicit bias and discriminations in education and practices in library, information, and knowledge profession.
